September 21, 2007

The first three minutes of Richard Shepard’s The Hunting Party have popped up online.

I have to say I was a little worried about the flick, but after watching this, I’m excited once again.

The film is currently in limited release in theatres.

Three new posters for No Country for Old Men, the new Coen Brothers movie have popped up online. Is it just me or does this movie seem almost like something from early David Lynch?

Kevin Smith in Southland

This is one hell of a makeup job on the character of Simon Thiery. It is none other than writer/director Kevin Smith.

I was really excited for this movie, but now that I’ve seen the full trailer, it’s losing some of its appeal.

Heroes and Southland Tales Comics

September 20, 2007

With many films finding source material in graphic novels, many are finding that comics are a great medium to expand the universe of an existing story. Bearing that in mind, there are a couple of cool graphic novels coming out this fall.

First up is Southland Tales: The Prequel Saga, a collection of all three of the prequel comics originally released earlier this year. The combined version will be available in late October.

Also hitting shelves is a hardcover of the collected Heroes comics that previously were only available online. Over the course of the first season, the comics were released online where they helped bridge the gaps between episodes. This collected edition will hit shelves November 7th, with two different covers, one by Alex Ross and one by Jim Lee:

Run, Fatboy, Run Trailer

September 20, 2007

The trailer for Run, Fatboy, Run has gone up over at Yahoo! Movies.

I’m particularly interested in seeing this because it’s the directorial debut of David Schwimmer. And Simon Pegg is certainly good for a laugh.

The Lonely Maiden Casting

September 20, 2007

I don’t like mentioning projects that are just entering development, but this is too good.

Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, and William H. Macy have all signed on to star in The Lonely Maiden. The story will involve three security guards at a museum who decide to work together to steal a bunch of art. Macy and Freeman will also produce the film.

With all this talent involved, and on a heist no less, how can it go wrong?
